In the Clouds, Summer 26
Summer 26 has been a creative resurgence for BBF.
The biggest catalyst for this has been a documentary project with Dancer Design. Working on this short film has been a redefining career moment for me. The mantra has been “go deep, go hard” with a focused and refined pre-pro, a curious “head in the clouds while still dropping the hammer” production and a meticulous edit that goes against every convention and norm I have come to know. This is not a "commercial video" it is a film. Working with the Dancer Team has changed what I think a video can truly be.
The other shoot that was a mover and shaker was my 6th annual pilgrimage to Wauseon OH for the National Vintage Motorcycle Flat Track Races. This year we went “all gas, no brakes” to create something that goes beyond the typical racing visuals. We spent two full days in the pits eating dust and interviewing dozens of two wheel fanatics digging deep into the heart and guts of this fascinating subculture.
Both of these films will be premiering later this Fall and will be the “best of the best” that BBF has put out. The creative energy that was harnessed in the creation of both will be projected in everything I do going forward. Full throttle with my head in the clouds.
BTS Photos by Tyler Ross, Cameron Elder and Brad Bores. Tyler worked on both projects and Cameron on the Dancer project. They both brought a massive amount of skill, effort and creativity to every shoot.
